Healing Modalities

Art Therapy: Experience the healing power of your own creativity. Art is a way of being present; of being still and listening deep within yourself. each session includes guidance in creating and "listening" to your artwork for its messages. Art therapy can be supportive during periods of soul searching, transition, healing or for clarity and access to your inner wisdom. No previous experience with art is necessary. 
$75/hour. Couple's sessin: $100/hour.
Your Practitioner- Lisa Kiefer holds a BFA, A Master's Degree in Art Therapy, and is registered with the American Art Therapy Association. She has been guiding others to the healing power of art since 1994 in varied settings including mental health, corrections and holistic wellness.

Massage: Blooming Lotus massage therapist are licensed, and offer a variety of touch therapies. 
Your Practitioner- Heidi Flint, licensed massage therapist, offers massages that helps to heighten awareness of your body and the possibility of greater freedom of movement. Gentle, non-invasive, and effective. This type of massage can be done with the client dressed in loose, comfortable clothing. 
$25/30 minutes. $50/hour. $65/90 minutes.
Your Practitioner- Maria Wechsler, licensed massage therapist offers massage and reflexology. 
$55 hour, $85/90 minutes. Following is a brief description of her services:

                 Swedish Massage-A full body treatment where the client experiences a state of relaxation and an all-over sense of well-being. Swedish Massage increases circulation, relieves sore, tight muscles and releases stress. Usually an hour in length.

                  Deep Tissue Massage- The therapist works more deeply on areas that are causing chronic pain for the client. This massage  can focus on a specific area, can relieve pain, and increases circulation. 30 minutes to an hour. 

                  Massage for People with Cancer- Massage that is individualized to support the needs of the client. 15 minutes to an hour in length.

                  Chair Massage-The client is dressed and sits in a special massage chair. The focus is usually on the back and arms. 10 to 30 minutes in length.

                  Reflexology-A modality that works entirely on the feet or hands. The theory behind reflexology is that there are reflex points on the feet and hands that correspond with all of the organs and systems of the body, and that massaging those points will bring the body into a state of balance. The client sits in a special designed chair while the therapist works on the feet. 50 minutes in length. 

Raindrop Technique: Raindrop technique is an aromatherapy treatment using essential oils along the spine. With this relaxing and mild application of essential oils, the technique balances the body and mind, boosts immunity, relieves sore and tired muscles, and oxygenates and realigns the body, both structurally and electrically.
Your Practitioner - Lorie Bebber has over a decade of experience with the use of essential oils, and after experiencing and falling in love with the Raindrop Technique she trained to be a practitioner!

Reiki: An ancient healing technique using nurturing hand placements through with concentrated universal life-force energy is received. Stress, pain and tension are replaced by a meditative and healing mind-body state. $25/30 minutes. $45/hour. 
Your practitioners- Lorie Bebber and Lisa Kiefer are both Level II Certified Reiki practitioners, having studied under and received attunements from Masters of the technique. 

1:1 Yoga Instruction: A private consultation with a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor. Beginner to advanced students can benefit from a session. Instructors can help you refine your structural alignment, design a posture sequence and modifications for postures based on your body's needs and/or facilitate meditation and relaxation. $60/hour. 
Your Practitioners- Lorie Bebber and Lisa Kiefer are certified Kripalu Yoga Teachers, members of the Kripalu Yoga Teacher Association and Yoga Alliance. 

Sessions are by appointment. Schedule with Lorie or Lisa at the Center.

Inside the CNY Yoga Center is the Lotus Feet Bookshop. We offer supplies for Yoga, meditation, relaxation, wellness, and spiritual growth and development. Browse through Zafus and Zabutons (Meditation cushions and mats), Stretching mats (sticky mats), yoga T-shirts and clothing. You'll also find a wonderful selection of music, books, videos and CD's.
