Lorie Bebber began taking yoga classes at age fifteen. After her first yoga class she had a sense of deep peace and joy that she had never experienced in her life. She continued taking classes through her teen years and five years later became a yoga teacher after completing a 200-hour teachers training program. Lorie co founded CNY Yoga Center with Lisa Sarick after teaching yoga all over the Central New York area in many locations and corporate offices. While volunteering at an Omega Yoga Conference Lorie found her beloved teacher Sri Dharma Mittra. On that fateful day she knew she found a real living yoga master.
Lorie continued to travel to Kripalu, NYC and even Germany to study with Dharma Mittra at workshop intensives. In 2008 she was blessed to have participated in Life of a Yogi Advance Teacher Training with Sri Dharma Mittra. This has been the most rewarding training and experience of her life. She received the true teachings of classical yoga as prescribed by the Guru and initiations into certain practices. Lorie continues to copy the teacher and to train with him whenever possible. Lorie’s intention is to serve humanity and all beings through the science of yoga. She hopes to preserve the teachings of classical yoga as taught by her Guru Sri Dharma Mittra.
