Dwight Stevenson was first exposed to yoga hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2004, when shown several poses by a fellow hiker. It wasn't until he made it through the doors of CNY Yoga Center that a passive interest blossomed into an active passion. What began as a class or two a week, quickly became a class or two a day as Grace flung open the doors of opportunity and Dwight found himself fully immersed in Yogic teachings. In the summer of 2008 Dwight had the honor of serving Swami Ken (www.shantivan.org), on the Dhyan Meditation Tour throughout the western half of Canada and United States. It was on the road he realized this was the life he was called for, the Life of a Yogi. In October Dwight heeded that blessed call & attended Sri Dharma Mittra's Life of a Yogi 200 Hour Teacher Training, of which he is currently in the internship stage. Sri Dharma Mittra is a living example of devotion, love & humility; a true master of Yoga. Dwight seeks to embody & share the teachings of Yoga as given by Sri Dharma Mittra.

Dwight is so grateful for Lorie, Lisa & the rest of the CNY Yoga Center family; we are a truly blessed community. It is Dwight's intention to serve, educate, & guide through the sacred science of yoga, this & future generations so they may find their world a more understanding, receptive, & peaceful place.
